India's Inflation Expected to Rise Near RBI's Upper Target Limit
: India's retail inflation is expected to approach the Reserve Bank of India's upper tolerance limit of 6% in October, driven by rising food prices and supply disruptions following an uneven monsoon.

India's inflation outlook has come under pressure as food prices continue to increase across the country. According to a Reuters poll of 36 economists published on November 6, India's annual consumer inflation rate is expected to reach 5.93% in October, compared with 5.54% in September. Food inflation is projected to rise to 8.20%, reflecting higher prices of essential commodities, including onions, milk, edible oils and other food products. The increase is also linked to uneven monsoon conditions that affected agricultural supplies. Economists are closely monitoring the inflation trend because it could influence future monetary policy decisions by the Reserve Bank of India.
