India's IndiaAI Mission has introduced three indigenous AI foundation models designed for Indian languages, enterprise automation and advanced computing tasks.

The models include EKA-1, developed by Soket Labs, and Dhīr 2B and Dhīr 5B, developed by ZenteiQ. EKA-1 is designed to support all 22 scheduled Indian languages as well as English, with applications in coding, mathematical reasoning and AI agents. The Dhīr models are multilingual assistants intended for document automation, information retrieval and enterprise services. Their on-premise and offline deployment options could be useful for organisations handling sensitive information.
