The Indian rupee recorded a significant recovery against the US dollar on Friday, November 6, reaching 93.90 per dollar. The improvement was supported by lower international crude oil prices, easing bond yields and renewed foreign investment in Indian financial markets. According to Reuters, foreign investors purchased nearly $3 billion worth of Indian equities during the week, including approximately $1.6 billion on Thursday. The development is particularly important for India because the country imports a large share of its crude oil requirements. A stronger rupee can help reduce import-related financial pressure, although currency movements will continue to depend on international markets and domestic economic conditions.
