Maharashtra Secures ₹8.57 Trillion Investment Commitments Across 67 Agreements
Maharashtra has attracted investment commitments worth ₹8.57 trillion through 67 agreements under its investment promotion initiative, with projects expected to generate approximately 2.91 lakh jobs.

Maharashtra has secured investment commitments worth approximately ₹8.57 trillion through 67 agreements signed under its Invest Maharashtra initiative in October 2026.
The proposed investments are expected to generate around 2.91 lakh employment opportunities and strengthen the state's position as a major industrial and economic centre.
The investment pipeline covers several high-growth sectors, including data centres, semiconductors and renewable energy.
Among the major proposals, Akshat Greentech has indicated an investment of approximately ₹1 trillion across Navi Mumbai and Pune for data centres, IT-enabled services and semiconductor-related projects.
The Sterlite Group has also proposed an investment of approximately ₹84,500 crore in digital infrastructure and semiconductor projects.
These investments support Maharashtra's ambition of becoming a $1 trillion economy by 2030.
However, converting investment commitments into operational projects remains a major challenge. Land acquisition, electricity costs and infrastructure availability are among the key issues that could influence project execution.
The development highlights the importance of creating an investment-friendly environment supported by reliable infrastructure, faster approvals and competitive operating costs.
